Cascada specialising in fairly traded Clothing and Crafts of South America .

We began by selling hand made crafts on the streets of touristic towns in the U.K and in South America we only used a bag of products to sell and a blanket to display our products on top of .The public response was  good so we decided to travel in South America more and learn about the crafts and clothing of the mountains, Amazon Jungle and countryside in Colombia, Brazil, Peru, Bolivia and Ecuador .We learnt about the fantastic tradition of craft work and textiles however it was difficult to ignore the problems the same people faced to survive, we felt that working with them could help in many ways. Cascada is a small business that is self made by us and our colleagues in South America , we have a healthy working relationship with families and craftspeople and we are lucky to sell beautiful products from sacred places of the world at fair trade events , music festivals and christmas markets Lida Chaves also holds workshops in Jewellery making at festivals and colleges . Our emphasis is on fair trade so we are always looking for ways to run our business in the most ethical ways.
